From Bump to Baby to ONE | A Year of Making Memories

A year. Just twelve months.

And yet, when you look back at these photographs, it feels like a lifetime of change.

I first met this beautiful family when they were waiting for their little boy to arrive. We captured their maternity session in my Dubai studio, documenting those last few weeks of pregnancy and the excitement of knowing that their family was about to change forever.

Then, not long afterwards, they came back with their tiny new arrival for his newborn session. All those fleeting newborn details that somehow feel impossible to remember once they’re gone.

His big sister was there too, already completely smitten with her baby brother. And together we captured those first precious days as a family of four.

Fast forward a year …

And suddenly that tiny newborn is ONE!

For his first birthday milestone session, we swapped the soft studio light for the golden sands of the Dubai desert. And what a difference that year has made.

He’s grown from a tiny bundle being cradled in his parents’ arms into a happy, curious little boy exploring the dunes, playing with his family and soaking up every moment.

And perhaps my favourite thing about photographing families over time is getting to see these changes.

Not just how much the children grow, but how a family grows with them.

The same cuddles. The same love. The same little family - just with another year of memories woven in.

From maternity, to newborn, to one whole year, these photographs tell a little piece of their story.

These are the moments I love most about family photography - not simply photographing how your children look today but creating photographs that let you look back and remember exactly how this season of your family felt.
